Amberd Fortress and Vahramashen

A walk to the medieval Amberd Fortress perched on the southern slopes of Aragats, alongside the 11th century Vahramashen Church. The ruins sit dramatically above the confluence of two river gorges. Panoramic views over the Ararat plain reward the climb.
