The temple of Hathor at Dendera is one of the best preserved temple complexes in Egypt, famous for its astronomical ceiling and colourful reliefs. This short walk explores the great temple and its sacred lake near the Nile north of Luxor. The rooftop chapels give fine views over the surrounding fields.
