The SaaleHorizontale, a long circuit along the limestone rims of the Saale valley around Jena, past the Lobdeburg, the Kernberge and the Fuchsturm, the Jenzig and the hills west of the city. Four days, with nights in Jena, which the trail rings and which has tram and bus links to many points on it.
