Takayama Old Town Walk

A walk through the beautifully preserved old town of Takayama in the mountains of Gifu, once a merchant and carpenter town. The route follows the Sanmachi streets of dark wooden houses and sake breweries and links to the Higashiyama temple trail. It is flat and atmospheric.
