Covao dos Conchos

A high plateau walk in Serra da Estrela to the extraordinary funnel of Covao dos Conchos, where a lagoon drains into a tunnel through a perfect circular spillway. The gentle path crosses open moorland and granite outcrops at over 1500 metres. The strange man-made waterfall is one of the mountain's most photographed sights.
