Lagoa das Furnas Loop

Descripción del sendero

A flat loop around the great crater lake of Furnas on Sao Miguel, past bubbling fumaroles where cooks bury pots of cozido to steam in the volcanic ground. The path skirts reed beds, a lakeside chapel and the botanical gardens of the Furnas monitoring station. One of the most atmospheric walks in the Azores.
