Coast to Coast: St Bees to Ennerdale Bridge

Wainwright's Coast to Coast walk begins at the red sandstone cliffs of St Bees Head on the Irish Sea. The route rounds the headland then heads inland through fields and old mining country to reach the edge of the Lake District at Ennerdale Bridge. A varied first day linking sea and fell.
