Lick Wash

An out and back hike in the west of Grand Staircase-Escalante from the Lick Wash trailhead on Skutumpah Road through the narrows of Lick Wash, a deep and narrow canyon, and on down the open wash between pale cliffs to Park Wash. Do not enter the canyon when rain is forecast, as flash floods can fill it fast. There is little shade and no water on the way, so carry plenty and avoid summer midday heat.
