A rim path around the UNESCO biosphere lake of Srebarna beside the Danube, famous for its breeding colony of Dalmatian pelicans. Reed beds stretch to floating islands alive with herons, ibises and terns. Viewing platforms and the small museum make it a pilgrimage for naturalists.
