The Monastery of Saint Paul the Anchorite is tucked into a remote valley of the Red Sea mountains near the Gulf of Suez. This short walk explores the fortified monastery and the desert slopes around the cave where Saint Paul lived. It is a peaceful outing into one of Egypt's ancient Coptic monastic sites.
