Volimes to Anafonitria Monastery

A walk in the mountainous north of Zakynthos from the weaving village of Volimes to the medieval monastery of Anafonitria. The monastery was home to the island's patron saint Dionysios and preserves old frescoes and a fortified tower. The path crosses quiet olive and cypress country.
