A flat walk across the salt marsh and dunes of the Ria Formosa to the ocean beach of Praia do Barril near Tavira. An old anchor cemetery of the tuna fishing fleet lines the sand behind the beach. Waders and flamingos feed in the lagoons crossed by the path.
