A gentle stroll from Plavecke Podhradie up to a sprawling castle ruin on the western rim of the Male Karpaty. The 13th century fortress guarded the Moravian border and its walls now frame views over the Zahorie lowland. White limestone crags around the castle attract climbers and picnickers alike.
