Aztec Butte

A short hike in the Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands National Park from the Aztec Butte trailhead across sand and up steep slickrock to the top of Aztec Butte. Ancestral Puebloan granaries stand near the butte; look but do not touch. There is little shade and no water on the way, so carry plenty and avoid summer midday heat.
