A dramatic tundra walk from Sunrise onto the barren volcanic benches of Burroughs Mountain, directly facing Rainier. The trail climbs through wildflower meadows to a moonlike alpine plateau. The close up view of Emmons Glacier tumbling off the mountain is unforgettable.
