A clifftop walk to the Pena del Aire, a great rock prow jutting over the deep Barranca de Metztitlan in Hidalgo. The trail crosses scrubby uplands to a dizzying viewpoint above the canyon of the Rio Venados. Vultures wheel on the thermals far below.
