Komna Plateau

A steep forest climb from the Savica car park up the old military road to the high Komna plateau above Bohinj. The switchbacks lead through beech woods to a rolling karst upland dotted with huts and First World War remains. A demanding but well-graded walk into a wild and historic high country.
