From the lower parking of the Maine Audubon Borestone Mountain Sanctuary the Base Trail climbs past Sunrise Pond and the Summit Trail continues over the West Peak to the bare East Peak of Borestone Mountain (604 m). The summits look over Lake Onawa and the hills around the Hundred-Mile Wilderness.
