The most accessible 3400 m summit in Taiwan, a stepped trail rising straight from the Songxuelou saddle on the Hehuan highway. Silvergrass slopes give way to alpine cushion plants and Yushan azaleas in May. Sunrise crowds come for the cloud seas over the Qilai ridge.
