Laguna Negra de Vetas

A hike in the Santurban paramo above the gold mining village of Vetas, one of the highest municipalities in Colombia. The route climbs past 3800 meters to a dark glacial lake set among frailejones and rocky crests. The paramo here is a celebrated water source and a stronghold of high Andean flora.
