A lakeside walk along Lake Ikeda, the largest caldera lake in Kyushu, on the Satsuma peninsula of Kagoshima. The flat shore path gives views across the water to the perfect cone of Mount Kaimon. It is easy and scenic, with a local lake-monster legend.
