A forest walk at Omiwa shrine in Sakurai, Nara, one of the oldest shrines in Japan, where the sacred Mount Miwa itself is worshipped. The path leads through cedar woods past subsidiary shrines and the start of the ancient Yamanobe trail. It is quiet and deeply venerable.
