Altındere Valley Walk (Maçka)

A forest walk up the Altındere valley national park below the cliff-clinging Sümela monastery near Maçka. The path follows the clear river through beech and spruce woodland to viewpoints of the monastery high on its rock face. Waterfalls and mist add to the drama.
