An out and back hike from the Cedar Run trailhead at the Hawksbill Gap parking on Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park, steeply down the Cedar Run Trail through a narrow, rocky hollow to Cedar Run Falls and its pools. The path is rough and the rocks are slippery, and the climb back is hard. Stream crossings can be impassable after heavy rain.
