Qubbet el-Hawa, the Dome of the Wind, is a hilltop shrine on the west bank of the Nile at Aswan above the Tombs of the Nobles. The short climb up the sandy ridge reaches a windswept viewpoint over the river, Elephantine Island and the desert. It is a rewarding sunset walk with one of the finest panoramas in Aswan.
