Rainbow Mountain

A high walk to the striped slopes of Vinicunca, where bands of mineral colour stripe the mountainside above 5,000 metres. The trail crosses open Andean grassland grazed by alpacas with the glaciers of Ausangate beyond. Short but hard on the lungs, as the altitude is extreme and the weather changes fast.
