Trail Description
The climb from Asenovgrad to the medieval fortress of Tsar Ivan Asen II, guarding the mouth of the Chepelare gorge. The 13th century church of the Holy Mother of Petrich still stands whole on the crag. Cliffs, river and the Thracian plain spread out from the walls.
