Trail Description

A valley walk up the Gabrovnitsa river to the Seven Altars monastery, unique in the Orthodox world for its seven side chapels within one church. Century-old sequoias shade the courtyard deep in the Balkan gorge. The approach from the Iskar defile is wild and green.
