Trail Description
A restored stone footpath built by Guane indigenous people and later used by colonial mule trains, descending from the whitewashed town of Barichara to the tiny village of Guane. The trail winds through dry canyon country with views over the Suarez river valley, cacti and fossil-rich hillsides. It is one of the best preserved caminos reales in Colombia and takes about two hours downhill.
