Trail Description
The Unfinished Obelisk lies in an ancient granite quarry on the edge of Aswan, abandoned when a crack appeared during carving. Had it been raised it would have been the largest obelisk ever cut. This short walk explores the quarry and reveals how the ancient Egyptians shaped these giant monuments.
