Trail Description
An easy circuit around the only natural freshwater lake in Crete, set among hills near Georgioupoli. The flat shoreline path passes reed beds, tavernas and small beaches where terrapins bask. In winter the water rises and the lake takes on brilliant turquoise and jade colours.
