Trail Description

A gentle walk across the Arcadian plain at Tegea to the temple of Athena Alea, one of the greatest sanctuaries of the ancient Peloponnese. The ruins and museum stand beside the old Byzantine church of Palaia Episkopi. The flat farmland is ringed by the mountains of Arcadia.
