Trail Description

A walk to the Abbasid Palace on the bank of the Tigris in Baghdad, a rare survival of medieval brickwork with a fine vaulted courtyard. Its arcades and muqarnas recall the golden age of the caliphs. A quiet monument in the heart of the old city.
