Trail Description

A walk along the Basra corniche beside the Shatt al Arab, the great waterway where the Tigris and Euphrates join before the Gulf. The promenade passes statues of poets, old shipping wharves and cafes looking across to the palm groves. A breezy evening stroll in Iraq's southern port city.
