Trail Description

A walk to Borsippa, where the great mound of Birs Nimrud rises from the plain south of Babylon with its vitrified brick tower. Long linked in legend to the tower of Babel, it was a temple to the god Nabu. A striking and lonely ruin of ancient Babylonia.
