Trail Description

The approach walk toward Halgurd, the highest accessible summit in Iraq near the Iranian border above Choman. The route climbs the meadow valleys and glacial streams below the peak, used by climbers on multi day ascents. A remote and rugged corner of the Zagros in the Kurdish high country.
