Trail Description
A walk around Hatra, a ruined desert city of the Parthian era whose great temples still stand on the open steppe west of Mosul. The circular walls enclose vaulted iwans carved with the faces of kings and gods. A remarkable survivor of the ancient Mesopotamian frontier.
