Trail Description
A walk along the ancient walls of Nineveh, once the greatest city of the Assyrian empire on the Tigris opposite Mosul. The route passes the rebuilt Mashki and Adad gates that guarded the vast enclosure of Sennacherib. A vast and evocative site of Mesopotamian glory.
