Trail Description

A walk to Sherwana Castle in Kalar, a nineteenth century fortress of the Jaff princes on the Sirwan river in southern Kurdistan. Restored halls and gardens tell the story of the old ruling family. A pleasant heritage stroll on the plains toward Darbandikhan.
