Trail Description

A section of the waymarked Tain Way climbing from the medieval town of Carlingford onto the Cooley Mountains in County Louth. Forest tracks and open mountain give views over Carlingford Lough to the Mourne Mountains. Steeped in the legends of the ancient Irish cattle raid epic.
