Trail Description
A walk around the Jigokudani hell valley above the hot-spring town of Noboribetsu in Hokkaido. Boardwalks and forest paths cross a steaming volcanic crater of sulphur vents and bubbling pools, continuing to the Oyunuma boiling lake. The mineral-stained landscape is stark and dramatic.
