Trail Description

A walk around the great nineteenth century fortress of Daugavpils, a vast star shaped citadel that is the only fully preserved fortress of its kind in Eastern Europe. Ramparts, gates and barracks now house the Mark Rothko art centre. Grand military architecture on the Daugava.
