Trail Description

A high-altitude walk into the crater of the Nevado de Toluca to reach the twin lakes of the Sun and the Moon. From the parking area the sendero descends among volcanic rock to the shimmering crater lagoons above 4200 meters. The thin air makes even a short walk demanding.
