Trail Description

A high alpine walk from the Paso de Cortes saddle toward La Joya at the foot of Iztaccihuatl. The wide track crosses treeless volcanic plateau between the two great volcanoes with huge views of Popocatepetl. Altitude and wind make it a serious outing despite the easy grade.
