Trail Description

A steep day hike in the Cordillera Blanca to a brilliant turquoise lake fed by glaciers below Chacraraju. The path climbs from a green valley up switchbacks to the lake at nearly 4,600 metres. The colour is astonishing, but the altitude makes it a serious effort.
