Trail Description

A riverside walk at Barca d'Alva where the Douro enters Portugal amid almond and olive groves. The path follows the water past old quays, vineyards and railway ruins below steep hillsides. Gentle and scenic, gorgeous when the almond trees blossom in early spring.
