Trail Description

A loop around the wooded volcanic peninsula of Monte Brasil guarding the bay of Angra do Heroismo on Terceira. Shaded paths climb past old fortifications, gun emplacements and crater viewpoints looking back over the UNESCO listed town. Deer and open pasture fill the extinct crater at its heart.
