Trail Description

A steep climb from the town of Viana do Castelo up the wooded hill of Santa Luzia to its great domed basilica. Stone steps and paths zigzag through pine and eucalyptus to one of the finest viewpoints in Portugal. The panorama sweeps over the town, the Lima river and the ocean coast.
