Trail Description

A gentle forest approach from the Sambata de Sus monastery complex into the only Fagaras valley with a hut set right under the main ridge. Cabana Valea Sambetei sits at 1401 m below the glacial amphitheatre of Fereastra Mare. The classic first taste of the range for generations of hikers.
