Trail Description

Lacul Bucura is the largest glacial lake in Romania, cradled in a high cirque of the Retezat Mountains at over two thousand metres. The trail climbs from Poiana Pelegii through alpine meadows and boulder fields to the shore ringed by jagged granite peaks.
